I have a gym membership but mostly have been using it for cardio. I am not overweight, I just want to lose maybe 5 pounds and tighten things up. I’m just wondering if anyone knows what equipment that gyms usually have that will focus on my lower stomach and obliques. Those are the only areas that haven’t completely vanished with diet and exercise. I only want gym equipment answers, not home exercise. Thank you!

In your opinion, what is the best all-in-one home gym setup?
I’m looking for something under $2,000, has good solid and consistent resistance throughout all reps, has good flexibility (wide range of motion and a lot of exercise possibilities), full body workout, can be used for beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels, and reasonably easy to use (I don’t want to spend 5 minutes after each exercise changing weights or something like that)
I used to use free weights and a simple weight bench that could unfortunately not decline/incline. I want to upgrade and make it a little easier to work out with better results. I’d really appreciate in-depth reviews on the different home gyms you think is best and it’d be awesome if you have had experience with it yourself to tell me your personal opinions on your home gym.
Thanks!
I know that I probably shouldn’t touch this question but I can’t help myself.
Free weights are far superior to any sort of resistance-band/bow/cable system that you might find in a "all-in-one" gym. Free weights allow the loading of the body in 3 dimensions and on all planes, there is no piece of equipment on the earth that can do this.
If I had $2000 and I was going to outfit a home gym, I would purchase a power-rack in which I could squat by myself with some degree of safety, I could also deadlift and do overhead presses and bent over rows out of this rack…hell, many racks even come with a pull-up bar so that’s another thing down. I would look at getting an adjustable bench so that I could bench out of the rack as well, I could adjust it up to a seated position, an incline or a decline. I would also purchase weights.
If I had any money left over, I would look at getting plate-loaded dumbbell handles…and I could hit pretty much all of the compound movements and many accessory movements with 2 pieces of equipment. In the future I might invest in some kettlebells or plate-loaded kettlebells, maybe some speciality bars etc.
Really you don’t need much more than that. I spend 90% of my workout on a squat rack or bench anyhow. But many people don’t "like to squat" because they heard it’s bad for their knees….haha.

I’m little thin for my age and short too,I do a lot of exercise like pushups, finger pushups, pull ups, jumping, running, In gym they use the body building equipments, I want to know what is the difference ,should I continue my exercise at home or should I go to the gym. and what I should eat to become fit.
If you exercise at the gym, you will most likely be better equipped, and you won’t be apt to eat, sleep, or lie down if you’re at home. If you work out from home, you will save money. It depends on your situation.

Foam Rollers have become an essential tool for pilates, core, ab and back stabilisation and strengthening. They are also used as a balance training tool to improve balance for sports, everyday balance or in a physical therapy setting. They are also an excellent aid for self massage of the upper and lower back, calf, hamstring, glutes and quads. The roller is especially useful for IT (illiotibia) band syndrome. Since full round foam rollers offer a significant balance challenge, they are recommended for intermediate and advanced users when balance training or in conjunction with a professionally supervised training session.
You will notice fast improvements after having used the Foam Muscle Massage Roller as it is ideal to use during warm up and cool down to release myofascial tightness. Using your bodyweight to apply pressure to targeted areas or even your entire back, legs, arms and buttocks you will calm your muscles and decrease spot pains.
Product Specifications:
The Foam Muscle Massage Roller has been designed to maintain its shape even after years of use.
Heavy duty, dense EVA Foam
