How much does a home gym cost?

Me and my brother want to get a home gym to save having to go to the public gym twice a week But how much would it cost to get a few machines to work our arms, abs, chest and back?

Machines are garbage. All you need is a bench, a squat rack, a barbell and some dumbbells.

This routine is designed to give anyone a great workout for AT HOME or at the GYM.



This routine requires:

1. Using your body weight
2. Pillow


List of Exercises:

* 20-30 reps per exercise
* 20-30 second rest between sets (60max)

1. Crunch: Setting 1
2. Crunch: Setting 2
3. Leg Lift: Setting 1
4. Leg Lift: Setting 2
5. In-Out: Setting 1

6. In-Out: Setting 2
7. Left Turn: Setting 1
8. Left Turn: Setting 2
9. Right Turn: Setting 1
10. Right Turn: Setting 2


Remember, when doing this routine, workout at your OWN intensity.

* This means if you cannot perform as many sets and reps as I do in the video, do as many as you can.


There are a couple different ways you can do this routine.

* You can perform each exercise for 1 set and then start over. (Complete the circuit up to 3 times)

* You can perform each exercise for 3 sets before moving to the next exercise and the workout is finished once you perform the last exercise.

* You can superset 2 exercises, take a 45second to 1minute break and then superset the next two. (A superset is when you do two exercises at the same time, one right after the other until you complete 3 sets of both exercises)

* This routine can be done every other day.

Home Gym is finally assembled

Well lets answer a few questions.
1. Why did it take so long?
It takes two people to assemble this thing and I was doing this by myself, most of it on blogtv. I am not very good with tools and the instructions were not very clear.

2. Didn’t you have a gym before?
Yes I did but I had to sell it in April when I had to fight eviction. I eventually was successful in fighting the eviction.

3. Instead of buying a home gym why not join a gym and exercise there?
The problem with joining a gym is you have to GO to the gym which can be tempting to avoid when it gets over 110 degrees in the Desert Sun. Walking outside presents the same problem when even at 1am it is 90 degrees outside. Due to my size I have to be careful not to overwork myself.

4. How will this gym help you?
Look at the videos I was posting even as recently as April, you can see a clear physical difference. Having a home gym was the best thing for me, as it gave me a healthy alternative to binge eating. I was losing weight. I need to get back on track, and this gym will help me do it.

How to split up muscle groups to switch from a full body home-gym routine to a short routine?

I currently adopt a full body workout on my home-gym but it gets boring and i lose motivation, so how do i split up muscle groups to work-out for a shorter period but more frequent throughout the week?

And say i work Biceps, Triceps and shoulders, do i still use my (3×12 reps)? and how many different actions for each muscle?

Just switch up days like i do, for example. Monday: Chest, Legs. Tuesday: Arms (biceps/triceps/shoulders) and stomach. Wednesday: Rest. Thursday: Chest, Legs..etc.
Just google muscle group exercises. like do bicep curls, triceps extensions, lying tricep extensions, pullups, chinups, dips.

This is the simplest exercise – kid need to balance his body and keep it straight. Some effort needed to start sliding. Later kid will do this exersise with more confidence that at first.
