How to exercise when I can’t leave the house much (due to anxiety) 10pts best answer?

I can’t go out much due to mental illness. Some days I can’t go out at all even if someone comes with me. Therefore meaning I can’t go out to places like the gym. I can’t go swimming as my arms and legs are covered in severe scars from self harm. I really need to lose weight. I have some hand weights at
Home but no gym equipment. I plan on going for brisk walks when I can, but what are some good fat burning exercises I can do at home? I mainly want cardio vascular exercises rather than sit ups etc…

Ive done some ‘knife doodling’ myself and I’m big on fitness cuz it’s a more socially acceptable stress reliever. For home cardio I link my sets together with skipping and do circuits (no breaks) of squats, lunges, skippin and running on the spot bringing knees high. Exercise only gets u so far when it comes to losing weight, diet is more important and personally I think the biggest two things is having green tea and fresh ground black pepper with *every* meal. Both have lots of antioxidants. Green tea prevents fat from being stored and increases metabolism and black pepper increases stomach acid to more efficiently break down your food. There are a lot more benefits to them than that but thats the jist

Consider a stationary bike. Also try a skip rope.

Going out for brisk walks is an excellent idea and I would recommend sticking to that if you can.

    Good luck!

Jumping rope, jumpiing jacks are good options. Push-ups can actually give your heart a workout.
