How to turn an empty room into a home gym?
We have an empty parlor room, and want to turn it into a home gym, with a treadmill, weight lifting set.. Ect. How should we do this? It may be turned into an office in a couple years, so we cant do anything permanent! It has hardwood floors- so would we have to get a carpet, or is the wood floor fine? Also we have a tv in there- for yoga/ exercise videos maybe? Any decorating ideas would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!(:
Is wood floor fine for what? Yoga? For yoga, yes that is where you normally do yoga, For an office? Yep no prob. For a gym? Yes carpet for a gym is a worse idea…. Well it seems you kinda have it mostly in your hands.. I dont really know what to say can you give us some pics ?:)

you need rubber gym mats. you can’t drop weights on hardwood. go to a gym and get ideas. thats where you’ll get the best ideas.

Empty the garage of all clutter. Determine how much space you can devote to your home gym. Keep in mind even a portion of the garage will work when creating a home gym.
Lay down carpet padding and carpet down. Carpet is needed in your home gym to provide a shock absorbent surface to exercise on. Bring in a few exercise mats to add extra cushion for yoga and other floor exercises.

Get a carpet, a strong one to cover the hardwood floors for protection against indentation and scratches before moving in the heavy gym equipments. And the TV must be hung on the wall in a corner. Put some fitness and health guide posters on the wall. If you have windows, open them to let the air in.
