is olympic weight bench(bench press) home gym equipment?
If you are just starting to put together a home gym, then your best purchase would be a sturdy bench and paired dumbbells in a few different weight sizes. You can work out every single muscle group with the dumbbells, but you are limited to just working out your chest (with some shoulder and triceps) by just doing bench presses.
Now, if you have other equipment already to work out the rest of your body, then adding a bench press would certainly be a wise investment, and I would definately recommend getting the olympic bar as well as the best weights you can afford.

I want to buy some home fitness equpiment like a Exercise Bike, a Runner, Cross Trainer etc but I don’t know any shops that sell any so can you tell me any shops that I can buy fitness equpiment in please?. I know Argos sells them but are there any other shops?. Also I’m not being funny/arrogant or ungrateful or any thing but can you please not give me any suggestions of online stores, I don’t buy things online. Thanks in advance, really appreciate it.
I also live in the UK by the way.
Have a look in the Argos catalogue

I am trying to setup a home gym and I keep finding good deals online for fitness equipment but I would like to have someone set up what I purchase. I have yet to find any places that set up and deliver for free and since I will not have time or patience to put the equipment together I wanted to hire someone. What kind of profession would do this for a reasonable price? Any ideas how much??
Depends on a couple of facts what city you live, all are different. Personally outside of a company setting this up I have never heard of any companies that set up any kind of Gym equipment unless its one that just sells and set up specifically.
Outside of that Your probably are needing to be looking for a handyman type of guy maintenance guy
about the only thing I can suggest either looking for a maintenance type company that has people whom are mechanically inclined or put an ad on say Craigslist for a handyman I suggest while doing this is risky I would have an older gentleman vs a younger one as for trust issues of having a stranger in your home use common sense and leave no one unattended in your home If you do find a handyman he will charge you a per hour rate vs per machine rate.
Your best bet is to shop around and find the best handyman at a affordable rate so any kind of company that provides handy man type services as a business and if you hire a handyman service make sure they are licensed bonded and insured and use due diligence and common sense
Hope that helps

Home Gyms Make Fitness Part of Your Healthy Lifestyle
A while back while on Vacation with my Family, I was able to drag my Dad out for a workout at the hotel gym. After working out each day with me during that vacation, he decided to go home and set up a gym in his garage and drop his gym membership. He started out by going to see my buddies at http://www.specialtyfitness.com/ where they installed some rubber flooring in his new home gym. The other pieces of the home gym are a TRX Suspension Trainer using the Xmount in a beam to anchor it, an Indo Board, Dumbbells, and Finally a TRUE Elliptical Machine.
In this interview I did with my Father, he explains how much he is enjoying working out at home and How after 2.5 years or so his home gym will be paid for with the money he was spending for his gym membership. In addition, since the gym is in his home, he doesn’t need to drive anywhere and thus he is much more consistent at getting his workouts done. He doesn’t need to waste time driving to the gym in order to get a workout in, therefore there is one more barrier to getting in the gym that is removed.
Even though he is in his early 60’s he is feeling more energetic, sharper, and fitter than he has in a long time. This Exercise routine he has begins early in the morning as he watches business news while exercising on the True Elliptical machine and it prepares him for his busy days as a professor and consultant. This is all part of his new Healthy, Active Lifestyle that I have been preaching to him about for years.

Home Chest & Bicep Workout
Find 3 distinctive sets of home gym workouts. The Base Kit, Deluxe Kit and Ultimate Kit – a complete fitness training program. Very effective workout to do from home. It uses favorite pushup variations, as well as dumbbell exercise to work your shoulders and much more… this is the best training program. I really feel I am getting the most from these workouts. Join me today.
There are many different reasons for starting up or intensifying your physical fitness program, but among the most popular are to enhance one’s appearance, increase their overall level of health, and to prolong and improve the quality of their life. Use the information found in these tips to get started with your new plan.
In order to truly commit to a fitness program, you need to change your attitudes and beliefs about fitness. You need to be willing to work hard, even when you’re feeling tired or lazy. Only if you are willing to make solid, lasting changes will you able to make fitness a part of your life.
Signing up for a regular exercise class is a great way to get fit. It’s easy to promise yourself that you’ll find time to exercise, but a class will give you an extra obligation. Once you’ve signed up and set aside the time, having a class to go to will help motivate you to exercise and avoid the usual excuses.
When doing crunches, you need to make sure you are protecting your neck to reduce an injury. Pretend there is an orange in between your neck and your chest. This will help to reduce any extra strain you may have. It will also make your body in the proper alignment so that you are getting the full benefit.
Jumping jacks are a classic calisthenic exercise that you can do. All you have to do is jump and separate your arms and legs. Then jump again and return to a normal standing position. Repeat this about 20 to 25 times a day. If you’re a little more athletic, you can increase the number of jacks.
To keep yourself positive about long repetitions, count backward instead of forward. Counting forward has you concentrating on how much you have already done and can make you feel fatigued faster. Alternately, counting backward keeps you focused on how you have a little less to do with every rep.
If you work at a job that has many floors, one thing that you should do is to take the steps instead of the elevator. This will give you some exercise that you need during the day, and can help to break down a lot of fat over the course of the year.
Now that you have identified your key motivation for starting up or stepping up a comprehensive fitness program, you can take some time to plan out and visualize your most effective approach and contingency plan. Use these tips and tricks as you push yourself to beat the obstacles and win your way to physical fitness.
